Want to add another HDD to my Ubuntu media server

I've got a 1.5tb drive in my server but want to drop in another. Is it possible to add another in and get it to treat both as one without having to take all the data off first? It woudn't be a problem, just an annoyance.

you will need to set them up in raid 0 but normally the process involves wiping the drives first

You could also look into LVM, however i'm not sure if it supports migration.

Not really possible without reformatting or a lot of partitioning and moving files around.

You'd be better backing up your data and setting up LVM.

Are you not using LVM already?
