guide price for mobo case and PSU is £200

ive seen a nice skt 939 shuttle for under £200

but these new silverstone and lian li mATX cases look nice. can anybody give me a run down on what cases are available, and whats the difference between uATX and mATX ?

uATX and mATX are the same thing it's just that the 'micro' term in scale sizes is the 'mju' sign which looks like a u so it gets written as this.

The choices you have range from the Antec Aria, Aspire Q-pack, Silverstone Sugo, Lian li V300 or other htpc cases using riser cards or half height cards to fit in the pci slots. I would say that the Lian Li would probably be too big to class as a small pc for you but the silverstone sugo (which i have) is a very nice case, mine is the first revision version i've had for quite a while now and it's good, especially the fact you can include atx psu's.

Although I wouldn't know what the best to recommend would be, tell us what you like the look of, such as cube style/shuttle style or htpc? :)

More of a SFF question than CC I would say.

Silverstone Sugo and Lascala.

Lian Li v600 and v300 are small, but the v600 also fits a ATX board due to it being deep, better value for money than the Ss cases but not cheap by any means.

Coolermaster Cavaliers and ATCs 620/630 are also options, slightly dated but great cases.

its going on a desk

so its not going to be a HTPC

dont like the look of the Lian li v300, and the 600 is too big

Silverstone Sugo is ugly for having the 2 obvious drive bays. much prefer the stealthed shuttle bays.

not keen on the antec aria either

liking this at £191 inc vat

That's a nice looking shuttle (SN21G5?) but it could be quite a bit louder than other solutions due to the SilenX psu's having tiny little fans whirring about but yeh, good call, have a look at other reviews or in the sff forum for any news on it. :)

its the non media centre one

the SN95G5 v3. The 21 is a bit more expensive and i wont need the features as its just going to be a small computer, not a HTPC or anything.
