Hi,

I want to build my own PC but have never done this kind of thing before. I'm looking at a book 'Building a PC for Dummies' but it would seem that it was published 11 years ago. Is this book going to be out of date for todays hardware/software or do I need something newer?

Thanks in advance.

Everything only fits in one place, so its quite hard to mess up if you go slow and careful. Very satisfying when you press the power button for the first time :)

Just go for it man, i built mine a day ago and was completely new to it.
It went ok and all i followed was the guide on here and manuals.
Take your time and you will be fine, its one of those things that seems more confusing than it is. :)

Thats nothing.

On my latest build (I've built PCs around a dozen times) I forgot to plug the kettle plug in!
