Want to click order but need coaxing!

I want to order the following dell this weekend

I5-430m @ 2.53Ghz
500GB 5400rpm HDD
1GB ATI HD5470 gfx
4GB DDR3 RAM
15.6" LCD screen

Including 1 year warranty £699

Can I do any better for the money? I can find any Sony's with a similar spec for that price.

You can find an acer 5740 with i5, 4gb ddr3 ram, 500 gb hdd, and 5650 gfx for 599. So yes you can.

I've just looked at acer but found for the same money I had to sacrifice processor speed for gfx or vice versa. Are there any particular models to look out for?

Sorry mate but i cocked my above post up, instead of an i5 it was an i3. But for 699 you can get the spec i mentioned above. The 5650 is a MUCH better gfx card.

plus the i5 version of the 5740g has a blue ray drive on top of the better GPU, VERY tempted to get this when i get my next student loan!!

Just had a look at the 5740g. Got great specs but sadly not out until the end if April. Really need to get one before the end of the month. I might wait and see what dell do with their random price changing this Thursday then make a decision. I've seen some people have got an i7 for under £700 that way!!
