I'm upgrading from windows 7 and bought the upgrade deal but, this is what I did wrong.
When running the upgrade assistant on the "Choose what to keep screen" I chose "keep Windows settings, personal files, and apps" I was suppose select to "keep nothing" because I want to do I clean install. Now I haven't installed 8 yet because, I selected the option to save it to a USB for installation at a later time.

My question is can I do a clean install of windows 8? Or, will it only do the upgrade for me? Did I screw up by choosing the wrong "Keep" option? If so, is there any way to fix this? re- run the assistant maybe?
The size of the windows 8 files I have saved on the USB is 2.62GB.

yes you can done it today myself exact same as you

just when buying or go back it gives you option to make a usb boot drive for installing

do that then you can do a full clean install.
