As i got my macbook pro on finance, i got the extended 3 year warranty

Now i'm thinking that i should get insurance for theft, accidental damage etc.

plus sometimes i'll be having the laptop in my bag while i travel on my motorbike. what happens if i crash etc?

Anyone got any experience with this?

Alex

unfortunately i don't have any, i rent my house from a letting agency.

i'm going to ring them up and see what they say.

i found a few places online that will insure my mac for £7.50 monthly, not sure if that would be the best option.

Can't find any big name brands tat will do laptop insurance..

I was with Endsleigh, they are cheapi but I have heard a lot of earache when trying to claim. I ended up switching to Halifax for contents insurance, got my Macbook Pro, TV, iphone and PC covered, pay abour £11 a month.

Was your macbook pro covered outside of your home? i'll be taking it on the road a lot , gigs and stuff.

Also i might have it in a bag on the back of my bike, i need to be covered if i crash my bike and it gets damaged!

are you saying you *dont* have contents insurance? get that sorted asap mate! as for the macbook pro - just ensure that on your contents insurance you a) have cover away from home and b) can declare items to be covered on it up the correct values as some only cover stuff whilst its at home and some also have a maximum individual item claim value. shouldn't be costing you more than £10-15 per month, or you could just pay it off in one go. i'm with direct line, if it helps.
