Want to move from Dual 27" to widescreen - who has done it?

I have 2 x 27" screens (both 1080p 60Hz)

I was looking to get a 32" screen but I feel I'd be losing some screen real estate with "only" 32" widescreen

Is 34" a better option going from 2 to 1 screen?

Anyone went from 2 to 1 and what size screen did you get to replace it?

Ok this leads me to my next question.

How does it work having one screen a 1080p and the other screen (say the 34" 1440 one you mentioned) can I run both with different resolutions as two seperate screens without any issues, with one GPU?
