Hi people,
I am looking to overclock my xps m1710. Unfortunatly, mine is the model without the unlocked bios *same processor except it is locked* and therefore cannot simply do it via the bios.
After looking online I couldn't find any great advise so thought I would ask here.
Some info about what I am trying to do and questions you might have:
- CPU clock up about 0.3-0.5 Ghz.
- Cooling is taken care of, its always on a £80 cooling mat with 2 large fans and it uses an external display (using it as a desktop replacement until I can afford a decent new gaming rig)
- First overclock I will have done and I am fully aware I need to take it VERY carefully.
- win 7 32bit.
What I need:
- advise on how to go about overclocking when the bios is locked.
- A temperature monitor that actually works!
