I have a Sony 40V3000 LCD which I want to use to watch HD content through a DVI-HDMI cable but I cant seem to set up my second display from my graphics card.
The card is a Radeon X1950 Pro 512mb with 2 DVI outputs. I can plug in the above cable to the 2nd output and can then set my primary display to 1920x1080 to watch stuff but ideally I wanted to leave my primary monitor at 1280x1024 and just be able to switch to 1920x1080 on the 2nd output - the problem is that when I try this all I get on my TV is a static, smaller version of my background wallpaper! (no icons, mouse pointer etc!)
Can someone point me towards an idiots guide to setting this up so I dont have to faff around altering my PC monitors resolution every time I want to watch some HD content??
Thanks...
