Hi,
A year ago I completed my first complete 'Build', you can my spec in my sig.
With lots of advice from everyone here, at the time it was the best spec I could afford with my budget with the idea of upgrading graphics at a later date. The x1950pro was and still is an awsome card but its just starting to struggle with latest games (crysis the exeption as everything struggles!)
My questions to you are:
1. With a budget of £220, (Will still be £220 after christmas!) should i upgrade now or wait untill the new nvidia cards are released in 2008 ?
2. If upgrading now, i was looking at a baseline 8800gts 512mb, I have read these cards run hot so should i be looking at a baseline card with a aftermarket cooler or for the same money a higher clocked card but suffer the possible high temps (especially with the standard overclock).
Soz for the long post guys,
just a bit confused !

. I don't think you'll notice much change between a GTS and a GT. Wouldn't bother with AM cooling either, I've got it and it's really nothing special, sure it shows off a cool temp but doesn't do much else the card doesn't want to clock for me, migth happen to you too since it's the luck of the draw.
