Want to upgrade yet can't get get through

A few months ago the contract on my crappy T Mobile Pulse expired, so I dropped the contract down to a pay monthly one, with the option to break this new 12 month contract if I want to upgrade the phone - As at the time the Galaxy S 2 was not out.

I have rang the helpline number '150' yet none of the options seem to be available for me from the automated switchboard. If I select upgrade they just say my contract is not up yet and say bye.

Any ideas what number to call?

go to any option that lets you speak to an advisor...something like changing your tariff.
Then they will pass you to upgrades.
 
dont choose upgrade, choose the i want to leave tmobile option :) that will get you through to retentions who will be able to upgrade you.
 
If you don't like Orange's lovely set of messages (Orange are committed to your blah blah blah...) just press # to skip them. Works for some other telcos too
