Hi
I currently have a Custom PC with a GTX 750ti 2GB, which I'm very happy with, but a i3-6100 Dual Core @ 3.7 GHz
I'm going to get some money in a few months or so, and I really want to upgrade my core to a quad core, since I heard GTA5 requires a good Quad Core CPU.
I have a MSI H110M Pro-VD and my mate told me I would be very limited
Any Recomendation?
I'll probably have around £160-£180 after I sell my old core aswell

Thanks

You are limited by your GPU, but not your motherboard. You can go ahead and get an i5 if you like, but that GPU is going to hold the i5 back. 750Ti was a weak card when it launched, and nowadays is a very very weak card. You may want to upgrade to an AMD RX480 (about $200 US, not sure of UK pricing) or if you prefer Nvidia, a GTX 1060 (slightly faster, slightly more expensive) which would dramatically improve your performance. Also, make sure you have at least 8GB of RAM in your system for ideal gaming joy.

That board will handle an i5 or i7 fine. It can't overclock or run SLI/Crossfire, but that's not necessary for good gaming performance.

The issue is the 750Ti. With only 2GB VRAM, it's going to hold back the rest of your system. An RX 480 or GTX 1060 will be a good upgrade and you'll probably find the i3 is quite capable. Upgrading the CPU won't make nearly as much difference while you're limited by the graphics card.

As others have said, the GPU is the issue here. Your i3 is perfectly capable of gaming at good frame rates when paired with a higher end GPU like an RX480 or GTX 1060.
