Not using my touchpad much, and i had a thought on how i might get good use out of it. A remote for my HTPC.

what is the best way to go about this?

Ideally id like to view the HTPC desktop on the pad, remote desktop.

Im guessing i will need to load android onto it? ICS? is it stable enough to do this?

Cheers

I think ill try splashtop first, i havent much of a clue as to how to get android on that touchpad.

Is unified remote just on android?

Tbh i would much rather ics on it than webos, hopefully implementation goes past alpha soon!

have been looking at splashtop, looks like it doesnt support native resolution, that means it useless tbh, if it resizes the desktop on connection, i cannot use it as a remote.

looks like unified remote it is!

Edt, unless im blind unified remote doesnt have a track pad, guess im after the splashtop app but without desktop resizing, even if the tablet displays nothing, a simple trackpad without a pic of the desktop would be ideal!

my mistake, it does support native res,

i am trying the non hd version [on my ICS galaxy nexus]

any benefit of the HD version? Or should i just stick with the non hd version for my tablet?
