So i bought me a mediaplayer. The girlfriend didn't want me to spend too much cash for something for myself( while she bought 300£ boots last christmas :o )and i bought an Iomega, cause it was the only one they had in the store nearest to my house, when we were there to buy other household stuff.

The thing sucks monkeyballs. Or it does not does play what the box says it does, or the subtitles are impossible to load, or you hear sound and no image,or you have image and no sound.. or the screen stutters or whatever, so worst spend money ever.

Now i'm looking for the easiest converter there is, with the possibilty to burn in seperate SRT files. I tried Any Video converter but that seems to have problems with VTS_whatever files cause it always give me the "there is no audio stream in this whatyoumacallit"

I tried to use handbrake but i didn't study rocketscience. So i want a EASY to use converter that can convert everything to everything else where i can "build in" seperate srt files AND what at least can convert VTS/IFO files back to Avi/xvid or whatever.

Many thanks in advance;)

" can convert everything to everything", I think the iFunia Media Covnerter is just the one can do this jobs well, which I just got from the Mac App Store, and just convert DVD IFO files, and popular videos easily.

You could google it and have a try.

Have you checked the Iomega site to see if there's newer firmware available for the device?

I have installed the latest firmware. Yesterday it crashed on me, the show i was watching froze, and trying to watch something else didn't work. All what i saw was the scene where the player crashed, and powering off with rc or button didn't work either, needed to pull the plug... Worst spend money ever.:o

You'd think there'd be legislation against outright dysfunctional products. :P

You could try taking it back saying it doesn't work? I must say, if it freezes and requires power cycling to get it running again, it might be more than just crap firmware.
