Wanted: Good HDD scan program

I'm almost certain i have a bad sector on one of my hardrives, but the tool the manufacturer provides is rubbish, and comes up with no results, but i know for a fact there is something wrong with it.
Can anyone advise a good HDD scan program, that would be able to identify, and hopefully "quarantine" said sector ?
I have Defrag Pro, but its not quite what I'm after.

Doesn't windows come with a ready made drive checker that sorts out bad sectors by marking them as bad sectors.

chckdsk yes, but its not picking up the issue

can anyone point me at the right site for downloading the iso image of the ubcd?? I've downloaded it 3 times now but nero wont burn the image.
