Wanting to a wipe a hard drive

I'm hopefully selling my rig next week and I'm wanting to clean everything I'v got before he has it, any recommendations?

reformat with fdisk? (or just use a windows disk?)

Drive scrubber pro, from iolo. Works a treat for me and takes half hour.

Formatting it doesn't delete all the data, you need to zero overwrite the drive. Search for Autoclave, Darik's Nuke'N'Boot or ActiveKilldisk for a bootable dik or CD program that will do the job.

Darik's Boot and Nuke. It's quite excellent and it's now the only drive erasing took I use for x86.
