Hi there,

I'm interested in programming and want to learn a language which will be useful and is widely used, I've used C before, albeit a while ago and to a pretty basic level, so I have a couple of questions;

Firstly is C# a good choice for a general purpose language?

Secondly can anyone recommend me any good books, or other learning resources to start learning it? I popped in to Foyles and Borders up in London today and there is a truely bewildering array of them about, so if anyone has any big recommendations that would be a god send :)

Definitely, particularly if you've programmed before :)

Not so sure about online resources, but Jesse Liberty's Programming C# 3.0 is a fantastic book.

Also, if you haven't already, go download a copy of Visual C# Express!
