Wanting to move to Win 8

Hi, after a few reports that BF4 runs better on Win8 than 7 I'm ready to take the leap.

I'm going to purchase it from OcUK tonight but it will probably be Monday before I recieved it now.

Is there anyway of downloading and installing it tonight and putting the Key in on Monday when I receive it from the store.

Not legally there isn't, do you have any local friends or work colleagues from whom you could borrow an install disk?

Windows 8.1 preview from here.

I'm currently using it and I think it expires on January 15th 2014.

My GF's son has W8 on his PC

Can I still install it without entering the code on the label tho, and then Just put my own code in on Monday. If not I'll just wait, don't want to use the same code on 2 machines.

Might run into a issue in that his version will more then likely be OEM and you'll be buying retail, if it's like older version of windows your key wont activate on a OEM copy.

Yes, you can use the 8.1 preview direct from Microsoft or use the Windows 8.1 Enterprise X64 iso, that is on MSDN and activate it in your own time, it has 1000 rearms as far as I am aware.. Activation goes live from the 17th of October. All of that is totally legal as far as I am aware.

Highly recommend the Enterprise 8.1 X64 edition. It flies (Boot up, and general use) and very good for gaming.

I've been running the 8.1 preview in my new build, waiting for the proper release this month.
Does anyone know whether we'll get OEM/Retail deals/offers at launch?

Don't you have to have an MSDN account to get a key to activate those?
And what happens with this, does it eventually stop working if you don't have a key? What's "1000 rearms"
