WAPs - extending network

I have two WAPs to give full coverage to a training centre and just want to give staff the option of wirelessly connection to the network (obviously). Now, do you assign the same IP address to each WAP or do you give each one its own separate IP?

I've sorted the security and named them accordingly but when i connect to it i dont get access to the network, no internet, can't ping etc.

Any ideas?

Different IP's, same SSID, different channels usually works.
