War - AMAZING

thats one bad opinion against thousands mmhh imho i think he is a great actor and has filled in a gap that has been empty since the likes of arnie and willis hung up there action film gloves :) btw trailer looks cool, not sure but did i see devon aoki in there as well ??

I totally agree about Statham, he has certainly filled a gap in the action genre, where there was a range of top actors many years ago, Willis, Schwarzenegger and Stallone, now it's all taken up by Asian martial artists if anything.

It's nice to see a genuinely hard looking westerner who can act as well.

Either he is a poor actor or is unlucky to mostly end up in average to poor movies, including Crank(which had its moments but still got something missing to become a classic). As for this movie itself, hope its as intense as the trailer shows, otherwise ill want my money back.

Looks interesting, another switch your brain off type of movie that Statham seems to be good at doing.

Crank was ok, nothing too spectacular but then i preferred him in the transporter movies...thought he was brilliant in those.

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Written by the Hollywood action 'blockbuster' computer.

edit - At least crank had an angle, now that film was actually funny.

Right, outside now. ;) I take it you have never seen Marked For Death or the Glimmer Man then? Actually don't answer, they are both cheesy trash but no less enjoyable for all that. :)

War looks as if it could fulfil my basic requirements in a brainless film, cheesy trash, explosions, fighting and car chases. I just hope they haven't shown all the best parts in the trailer so for that very reason I turned it off when it was about half way through. I don't think Statham is a bad actor but even he admits that Crank is hardly going to be academy award winning stuff, you just have to accept the films at face value - simple entertainment, nothing more and nothing less.

This type of action/fight/police film will rarely be a classic i can barely think of more than one or two action films that i've had the desire to watch more than once con air and maybe die hard 1 hard to think of any other classic action films.

But Statham hasnt filled Sly, Willis and Schwarzaneggars gap, more Seagals tbh.

Crap action films (apart from Under Siege 1).

I don't think so about Segal - he takes himself too seriously in his films, whereas Jason and his films, while action etc are a bit more relaxed.

Not sure if you'll get what I mean lol
