Thought I'd do some snapping at this event to see how I'm getting on. I shot hundreds of pictures, some came out well, others didn't. Plenty of information for me to evaluate and see what gave the best and worst results.
The following isn't so much a showcase of good shots as I'm not at that stage yet, just a taste of the event for those that might be interested:
These pics have been resized, but no selective cropping or touching up has happened yet (as the shots will no doubt demonstrate!)

I agree. I'll probably attempt to correct that in PS.
I was trying to keep the light meter in the centre, and having seen the results may opt for a little less next time.

Here's a couple I took at the beginning, but they looked too dark on the viewscreen so I overcompensated...
