Is there even a release of the original theme, the Duh Duh Duuuuuh one, without the crappy 80's disco pop rubbish all over it?

I really want the strong orchestral version.

ty :D

well it starts with strings, Duh Duh Duuuuh, then a cheesy disco beat takes up after this dramatic orchestral start

It's an afront to my expectations lol

I was being sarky :p I know the track you are looking for is from Jeff Waynes album, it does have differing versions of the main theme throughout. Please listen to the album, it's actually quite special, and I normally hate concept albums.

The later 'Highlights from Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds' reissue has both versions - the original (with cheesy disco) and the later Ben Liebrand remixed version (which is also cheesy but in a different way...)

I've only got the main theme. It's too god-awful really for me to listen to the rest of the album.

you are joking, right ?!?!

its probably one of the best albums ever, and certainly one of the best from that era.

Just finished reading the book again for the first time in years :) I'll dig out the Orson Welles radio version next :)

Jeff Wayne's musical version is easily my favourite though :)

Congratulations sir, you have the worst taste on the internet.

It's an amazing album, anything without the beat would have to be some sort of remix.

With just a handful of men....we'll start all over agaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain :D
