War Thunder and touch controllers?

Ok so I was recommended to try war thunder. It plays really good with keyboard and mouse or even a controller.

However, when I'm in vr I do not want to use a keyboard and mouse, I don't even want to use a controller. I want to sit back in my playing area and use my touch controllers as they are far more comfortable and do not take away the immersion.



So is it possible to get the touch controllers working with war thunder?

Unless it's changed since I last played. I don't think the game sets itself out to be a VR thing, more of an enabled product.

IIRC, WT had some strange design whereby KB/mouse users could pull maneuvers that weren't possible with say a HOTAS. That's one of the reasons that I've given it a very wide berth.

There's no point using anything but a mouse and keyboard on WT as you can't compete with other players using mouse aim.

Dont use arcade mode then.
My kills etc went up drastically when i started using VR as you can track targets much easier by looking at them and then turning the plane to meet them.

Not with touch controllers though granted, joystick.
