I'm thinking of getting a new RTS game.

I like starcraft/warcraft etc :) I still play warcraft3 now and again. I know C&C3 is out soon and should be good, but the release date is a month away :confused:

I'm not sure whether to get Dawn Of War Anthology (all 3) or Mark Of Chaos.
I guess Mark Of Chaos would have better graphics, but which one is better/more fun? :)
 
I liked the original DoW campaign, never really got round to playing through Winter Assault but I enjoyed the first. Never tried it multiplayer online but over LAN I prefer C/C generals. I reckon MoC looks better.
 
Dawn of war and the addons without a doubt.

I didn't find Mark of Chaos much fun to play and I found the graphics a little dull, if you want a medieval type setting with large armies get Medieval Total War 2.
 
I havent played mark of chaos but i can definately vouch for Dow + addons. Great fun multiplay and a good campaign too, especially for dark crusade.

It really depends whether you want futuristic play, 40k, dow or fantasy, moc though.
 
Another vote for DOW and addons, I play this game more or less everyday. Still love it, great fun to play online with a friend either against the computer or other people.

Anyone actually beat the computer on insane ?
 
DoW, without question. You'll love the sync-kills(special kill animations for particular units ;) )
 
I'd go for Dawn Of War (though, to be entirely honest I don;t like the playstyle as much as some games, graphics are cool though).

MoC sucked.
 
I'm not a fan of either of them TBH.
MOC was pretty good (as a fantasy fan), but its short and the skirmsh mode is rubbish. (You cant have any strategy- whatever you do, the computer just throws everything it has into one big fray in the middle.)
I'm not sure what it is I dont like about Dawn of War, but it just rubs me the wrong way. It just feels very fake, and you can't get 'involved' with your units in the same way as the C&C games, for example.

Dark Crusade is worth purchasing as well, just playing the campaign with all the different races has kept me going for weeks.

I played the MoC demo, but it felt like a step backwards for me, does have a nice intro though :p

lol? Yes it's very easy to beat.. even multiple insanes.

Anyone thats plays DOW regularly gimme a msg online, email in trust or Bert-Raccoon ingame :)
 
some of the vids for MoC where so good (that one with the deamon vs the warrior-preist) but DoW kicks it to the kerb in terms of gameplay tbh
