Couldnt see anything on the forums so far about an OCUK guild for this when it is released - anyone up for it? Was going to join my old WoW guild but think its gonna disband and the main people aren't going to play much Warhammer etc.

Also - as I've only just started looking into this game, where can I find a full list of classes etc?

I'm already in beta with my guild, so wouldnt be interested in joining an OC guild, but you can find full lists of the classes on most Warhammer Online sites, IGN, the official site etc. Though with the NDA still in place you wont necessarily find too many details on the classes yet

How are you finding the beta so far, I know its only just started etc. I was always a magical class in WoW, how are the melee classes like in WO?

I love it, as do my guild, some people wont though. Kind of a personal taste thing. Most melees are the usual MMO type of thing, weak in RvR early on, better in RvR later on.

Just had a read through the classes on a website and really don't know what I fancy being. The classes seem pretty much identical to WoW, with nothing standing out massively. Which of the classes is most like a rogue for example?

Any classes that stand out so far? How much of a grind is it to level?

Sorry for the mass of questions!

Public beta started July last year, when Goblin Shamans and Orc Choppa's were good, shame the Choppa has gone and the Shaman has much less dps now though

Anyway quite a good blog with some insider info can be found here
at W.A.R Da Blog

I'd probably suggest the Dark Elf Witch Elf as being closest to Rogue, there's also the High Elf Shadow Warrior and Empire Witch Hunter but they split their skills between ranged and melee.

As for 'grindiness'; solo it's probably worse than most mmo's because combat can be painfully slow if you're not a dps class. But if you get in a group you can progress pretty fast if you grind public quests. They are plenty of solo and some group quests though because you can travel around to other races areas and level there so I doubt you'll have to grind mobs just because you've run out of quests to do.

As usual I guess, getting in a decent AoE group will level quickest especially if the group is running public quests because you get bonus XP after each stage and it usually ends with a boss mob to fight. Then group questing, then solo questing then finally solo grinding mobs.

witch hunter would be for you, casters and healers HATE them :D

and the new war lion seems to lvl really fast

Mart - I meant guild beta thing had just started. I did apply for beta about a year ago but never got accepted. That blog site looks pretty good so going to check that out.

Ash - It has hunter in the name, puts me off big time! :(

O_O has the beta gone open yet or is it still closed ? I cant get to the WAR website from work :( got my codes waiting for the open beta

No idea , sadly I'm at work and IGN is blocked so I cant see the image you are linking to :(

Graphically its kind of like a cross between WoW and Daoc (slightly closer to Daoc in style), I find it more than sufficient for an RvR game.

aye but this is Warhammer !! far more lore and history to it that wow has, and i really like playing wow.
