Warhawk Splitscreen Online?

Cant play split screen on ranked servers, as to many people would use it as an "observer" to spot enemy etc. But normal ones should be fine, prob will have to check the server info as it is an option.
 
can you play split screen when hosting a lan game? i.e. so that just you and a mate can play on a single console!
