The Warhawk Arbiters sound great :)

A few weeks ago one of our mods made a post on the Warhawk forums letting people know that kind of behavior will not be tolerated. That was just a warning. Now, to protect the Warhawk community and preserve the legitimacy of our worldwide leader boards, I am announcing the existence of the Warhawk Arbiters. These are members of our online services groups in both the US and Europe that will be overseeing the leader boards, community stats and will also be “in the trenches” joining game servers for first-hand observation. Their PSN account names will remain a secret. They have the authority to warn players, call a player out to prove his or her skills, or render judgment … think Judge Dredd.
Judgment can take many forms, an email warning, forum post, a kick, temporary/permanent ban, or the Warhawk Arbiters can request your Warhawk stats be “cleansed.”
There are thousands and thousands of good, well-mannered players. We will not tolerate a small few messing with our global community. So be warned!!

* Added new server type filters (player, ranked, dedicated, clan, Official Warhawk, etc).
* Added new server full/open filter.
* Fall damage exploit fixed.
* Dismount into walls exploit fixed.
* Invisible Tank, Turret & Warhawk exploit fixed.

FINALLY! -- and Yes...I realize this was a loooong time coming :-P

We are going to be globally deploying the v1.1 during an extended maintenance window Friday, November 2nd between 5am and 9am Pacific.

To recap, here are the items addressed by the patch:
Server-side
* Stat database stability improvements
* Improved server stability
* Max Clan limit changed from 32 to 64
* Viral Rank-up bug fixed and correct for players that were accidentally ranked up.
* “Time-in-Vehicle” Stats fixed so certain awards can now be granted properly.

Client-side (this is the one that you will actually download to your PS3)
* Stat connection, fetch/post fixes
* Significantly improved client connection stability
* Quad “????” Ping display bug fixed.
* Added support for Player-Ranked Servers.
* Game synchronization fixes due to fluctuating network conditions (packet-drop).
* Crash fixes for end of game and split screen.

A couple of things that I want to point out. Some of you were able to download the v1.1 patch before it was "officially" ready. Since this occurred without the server-side updates to compliment it, not all of the fixes would have functioned. Specifically the viral-rank-up fix and the time-in-vehicle stat fix. Once we bring the system back online Friday, 9am Pacific, these fixes will be functional.

Also, once we deploy the patch, when you boot Warhawk, you will be prompted by the XMB to download the v1.1 patch. This is a fast download so it's not a time killer. Once the XMB has pulled the patch down, Warhawk will boot back up and be happy! You will also notice a "v1.1" in the lower right corner of the screen.

So...we'll be monitoring the roll-out tomorrow and this weekend so please check the forums for any updates We'll also be updating the announcements text today as well.

I would also like to extend a heart-felt "Welcome Back!" to our talented QA, SCERT and PDIT teams in San Diego. I've said it before and I'll say it again, they are the ones "behind the curtain" making a lot of this happen and its great to have them back!

Patch messed up the game for me, wouldn't let me play it at all once i'd patched.
Re-downloaded Warhawk and its working again now...
 
Apopcalyptic and I had a few goes earlier they still havent fixed the invisible tank exploit ( very annoying :mad:) Not noticed much else apart from my rank is where it should be now. Oh also fell off a very tall mountain and killed myself may of been a bug as other same type falls didnt kill me.

I did notice a couple of Player-Ranked servers, and my rank has fixed itself too (after promoting me 4 ranks when I first logged in... :p)

I think a few of the weapons have been balanced too. I noticed the lock on range of the swarm missile appears to have been reduced..?

/edit - Oh, and connecting to servers seems a lot more reliable now!!

I am now a lowly Airman 1st class again :D (now ranking up doesn't hold that much appeal as I know what the next 7 skins will look like :( ).

I have enough points for the next 3 ranks but not the awards :-(

Can anyone explain to me exactly how to get the "Warhawk recruiting" award. I have got over 400 awards and find it hard to believe I haven't got this one by accident!!!

btw Invisible Tank glitch or whatever (I still don't understand what this means, and don't think I have seen it in game) is fixed in patch 1.2.

Edit: Player Ranked servers are bad news, I am going to create one later and see what parameters there are and how open they are to abuse.

Think I might start playing Warhawk, its about time I did, other than the odd Sunday with you guys I don't touch it (Think my total play time is something like 3hrs lol) Think i'll start trying to gain rank now that they've fixed it.
