Warhawk: what a game!

Thank you so much for adding me guys, when I logged in after work (just got back from late shift), I had a list of like 10 OCuK guys with friends requests :D Looking forward to seeing you all online. And yes, I would say Warhawk is very much like Battlefield 2 and 2142, I would say it's much better in fact, because of the way the mechanics are done - flying is much easier and anti-jerkwad due to the hover/flight switch alone (no more suicide flyers!), and there seems to be a much more cohesive team flow in Warhawk.
 
Just purchased this tonight and downloading as we speak :D I'll be up for some games if anybody needs a n00b to pwn, my tag's SlashBored :) Look forward to seeing some of you online whenever it finally finishes downloading.

I must admit when i had my PS3 this was one of the major pet hates with the system, too many different types of online chatting devices with no no1 standard in device used, some people quiet, some cannot hear, some people constantly saying "can u hear me", crackling, all sorts. Sony really need to make a dedicated mic of a decent sound quality output
 
From what you are all saying, I really want to get this game.

I have USB headset that I use for other games, should I keep using it?

Will I get sent a headset when I download the game?

Is the headset any good if anyone has it?
 
Wow, great fun, but can be frustrating at times.
Flying a Warhawk is good fun but I get the feeling I am playing against people that have been playing for months.
I also hopped in a rocket launcher on the sky city level and got some good kills from that, the best I managed was 10 kills, 10 deaths :o

Looks like I have to train a bit more alone on a local lan :p

What are other people pings, I get only a few that are ~30 with most >60, but then again I notice no lag even on a server with a ping over 100 which is cool.

At first I didn't even realize that the Warhawk can fly, I was in hover mode thinking why is it so slow, also the fact the rockets need to be locked on a target came later :D

Another annoying thing is that the on screen text etc. is so small on a 1080p LCD, seems that the bigger the screen is the smaller it is to see important stuff:(

Dutch - it dosent take long to get the hang of the warhawk, i felt the same yesterday, after a few hours though it felt really natural. Come join the warhawk ocuk clan.

I had Warhawk dreams last night, i couldnt sleep i kept picturing my warhawk going all over the place, i havent had that since tetris!
 
Sounds fun, would have bought it if it was some other time of the year, but Im not going to pay £20 for a game I will play for only a few weeks Im afraid. Just bad timing for me for them to release it around September :(

Even if it is only a few weeks, it is still good value for money if you compare it to something like going to the movies or having a few drinks.
