Wario Ware Smooth Moves - multiplayer?

Anyone know is Wario has a multiplayer mode? I turned it on and am shocked to see there isn't the option available. Is it a unlockable or have they just not bothered?

You have to complete the basic story modes first.. then it gets unlocked.
