I was just in the middle of a game of Crysis when the game became suddenly "Choppy" for no reason at all. I decided to reset and then my computer suddenly started to reboot at password screen for no apparent reason. Even if I did login it would reset after the HD had calmed down. It booted into safe mode fine. After unchecking "reset on failure" it went straight into BSOD as planned then got the error:

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION then some numbers then at the bottom something mentioning KL1.sys

After googling I found this and it worked for me. (Remember to put update on manual):

Yeah Kaspersky released a dodgy updated which basically messed up loads of systems I believe mainly on Vista 64 bit. They have sorted the problem out now and the best thing to do is to go into safe mode with networking, start kaspersky up and update it. I couldn't stay in Windows long enough to update it so had to go through safe mode.
