Last year I was down the pound shop and I saw a set of anodised aluminium valve caps for a quid, great I thought and I stuck them on my car...

8 months later and they have decided to weld themselves to the brass thread on my wheels somehow. I got 2 off but the others are stuck fast. Unscrewing them with pliars just seems to rotate the whole valve which doesn't sound too great. Now i'm stuck with what to do. I don't have a jack or anything to change the valves with and my dad says that they are screwed in from the inside anyway (correct?). Whats the damage going to be to get them replaced by a garage?

how did you manage to leave them on that long? I check my tyres weekly (ish) so they shouldn't rust up?

If you leave anything like that for 8 months the same will happen, I mean it's air and metal, and probably some dirt and moisture as well being on the outside of the car. It all points to this happening
