Well,
I had a Failure to boot the other day.
The only thing I could see that was wrong was the keyboards USB cable had come partially out.
When pushed back in we booted OK but Windows was completely FUBAR!
Auto repair didn't solve it. (I was able to recover my data using LINUX)
System restore wouldn't work (0x80070017 error)
Eventually I used system image restore which fortunately worked.
Why did a loose keyboard cable cause such grief??
So, lesson for the day, Check your cables!
