Anyone else had problems with these Power Supplies? Bought my first back when I built this PC and around a year and half later it stopped working.

Granted XFX replaced it after having to pay around £50 postage to send the faulty unit to the Netherlands and then waiting a further 5 weeks to receive the new unit.

Same thing has happened, PSU not turning on when on button is pressed. Sometimes works if I turn it off for a while at the mains but as previously discovered with the old PSU if I plug the kettle out a little/rock it in the port I can sort of jump start the PSU.

Anyone else encountered problems like this or am I just unlucky?

Had the same issue with the PSU not turning on unless it was off for a while with the kettle unplugged.

Although mine was after 2 and a half years. No idea why you had to pay £50 though. :S

My retailer collected it free of charge and gave me the full £230 back even though it was over 2 and a half years old. XFX even recommended I get the retailer to collect it to save costs.

This is the response I've been given:

Dear sir

I am sorry for what you faced but I can only offer another RMA to you.

Here is the offer.

Please consider that you need to pay the shippment cost from your country to our warehouse in Netherlands.

Moreover, if there is any customs or taxes charged by your local country, you will need to afford. (may be up to 50 to 100 euros)

The below is the details of RMA procedures.

You send the card or psu to our warehouse in Netherlands.
Then, we will send the packages in netherlands in bulk to Hong Kong.
Once we get the package, we will test it in Hong Kong.
After that, the faulty card or psu will be sent to China.
Then, our colleagues in China will prepared replacement and send it back to Hong Kong.
Finally, the replacement will be delivered to your address provided directly.

It usually takes 1 or 2 months to complete.

Please consider and reply.

Best regards

Wade

From what I've been reading XFX arent what they used to be? I've also just noticed overclockers have stopped stocking their PSU's.

So sorry to hear your situation.

You can try to contact to your retailer or distributor first, apply PSU RMA from them, they will send your PSU back to us and handle all the related cost for you.
Or you can apply Direct RMA through here, but Direct RMA would cost you the shipping fee(to Netherlands) and the tax(if exists).

Let me know if you need Direct RMA, I will arrange your application as soon as possible.

That was my response.

Shocking turn around from XFX

You would think in this day and age they could use a faster system for faulty goods.
I have heard a few times from various people that had warranty issues as above.

Hope you get it sorted buddy
