Would anyone have any knowledge of a company who might provide a warranty for a 6 year old car, but the last service having been a self service, all parts receipts are present?

I assume no one will touch such a car?

Having finally got through to a company or two, it seems although I serviced my car myself after 5 Skoda ones, if I go to a vat registered garage and get one done, that means it's possible to take out a 12 month warranty on the car.

Seems a little random, but could be good news!

Just had a chat with warranty direct, and indeed as soon as I take out a warranty as long as I service it in a vat registered garage within a month or 1000 miles they'll cover the car.

I imagine it will make no difference to your claims experience :D

In their defence they paid the Lexus dealer for a wheel bearing, pcv valve set and rear height sensors without a fuss. I just followed their procedure exactly.

Don't bother, they are not worth the paper they are written on, they will try and wriggle out of any pay out due to quoting Fair wear and tear BS. You are best off saving the money each month in separate account for any repairs.
