Warranty legislation

Lo fellas. My Xbox 360 Elite keeps freezing for 30 seconds when I press the mini-guide. I've cleared the cache, got 20GB free on the HDD. Not quite sure if it's software or hardware, but's it's a definite fault.

Thing is, it's only 8 months old. Got it from a high street store that does game/dvd rentals. MS said they'll repair it, but I'd rather take it back to the store for them to repair/replace it. Does anyone know what my legal rights are when it comes to warranty?

Hear about 12/13 month warranties etc, but want to be armed with the actual facts when I argue my case because they'll do the usual and tell me to send it to MS. Cheers in advance.

S'ok, seems we're entitled to a 12 month warranty from the high street retalier under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 as ammended by the Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994 and The Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumers Regulations 2002.

think this is a problem with the nxe m8 tbh

i have the same problem i havent tried clearing the cache yet but i dont expect it would work anyway.

I have the same problem also. I've cleared the cache and it made no difference at all. At times i really feel like drop kicking my 360!
