Just sold the 330i, so it's now time to track down the replacement.

Following a LOT of reading, investigation and prodding around on forecourts of various cars, looks like it'll be a Volvo S60 D5 se.

With our budget, chances are that the cars in question will be 2004 at best and with probably 70k+ miles.
Bearing in mind the complexity of the car, I'm looking at buying a warranty. Warranty Direct have given us an online quote of £434 for a year, which I'm not too averse to with the potential horror stories that whilst unlikely, could happen.

Anyone got any alternative suggestions for warranty companies?

most, is not all, are ****

Tesco was the only decent one but they are no more

If you do go with WD hold on as the price will drop and drop over next few weeks

Be prepared for a poor turning circle, narrow access to the boot, poor rearward visibility and less than brilliant fuel economy.

Having looked at an S60, the boot access is no worse than an E46 and whilst a D5 might not be better than a 2ltr diesel 3 series, it's still going to be a good deal better than a 3ltr petrol E46.
