Anyway, you can also use the consumer "fit for purpose" thing which means a shop has to fix/replace your tv in the first 5 years (or maybe even 7) That's the expected minimum lifespan of a tv.

Pretty sure for less than £100 you can upgrqade to 5 years with the manufacturer if you want to feel more comfortable.
