Was 1987 the greatest year for movie releases?

So I'm just chilling watching Evil Dead 2 and noticed it was released in 1987, and having watched Lethal Weapon the other week (also 1987) can anyone think of a better year for movie releases? Off the top of my head:

Predator
Robocop
Platoon
Full Metal Jacket
The Untouchables
Lethal Weapon
Evil Dead 2
Good Morning Vietnam
Spaceballs
The Princess Bride
Hellraiser
Raising Arizona

and many more. Thoughts?

94 and 82 could both be in with a shout I suppose, but the sheer number of excellent films released in 87 puts it in front for me
