Short answer...no. He is a very talented player though. But then again, asking who is the better guitarist is a deeply subjective matter. Some people love the techncally perfect shredders. Others like myself would rather lick urine from a thistle. And anyway, 'Cross genre' it's Jimmy Page! Played, Hard Rock, Blues, Folk, Funk, etc. and excelled at all of them.

On the front of my GUITARIST magazine the question is being asked "Could Derek Trucks be the best guitarist in the world?"

Cross genres I would say Jimmy Page.
Just listen to Over The Hills And Far Away for example.
