Hi,

For the longest time I was running my Q6600 as below:-

8hrs.jpg

8 hours prime stable at 9 x 380 (3420).

Things now have become unstable and Prime fails pretty quickly, I'm just doing a Memtest86 on my RAM as so far no errors, should I suspect my CPU?

Cheers

Currently using 1.38 (real), tried backing down the OC but I'm really struggling to get anything stable!

you could try upping the volts to 1.45 in the bios see how that goes ?

what ram do you have? could try pumping some more volts into that?

What mobo is it? I had something similar with my previous P965-DS3P mobo, rock solid for months and then it started crashing and failing prime. I used to have Ballistix RAM which I ran at 1.8v and upping that to 1.9v and upping the NB voltage a notch fixed my problems.

Crucial Ballistix @ 2.3, currently running Memtest and 50% through with 0 errors.

Wow, that's a lot of volts! What speed are you running at?

Currently running mine at only 800Mhz with just 1.9V. On my old MSI P35 Neo, used to run them at 1000Mhz with 2.0V., and could run at 1200Mhz with 2.1V.
