I fancied a bit of gaming nostalgia and fired up Half Life for a run through. When I bought a 9800XT a few years back I got a coupon for Half Life Source so decided to play this version.
Now I found out the hard way that there was no auto save as I got all the way to the test chamber only to be hit by a falling block on the way out.
I clicked on reload and it put me right back on the overly long train bit at the beginning.
So my question is as above, is there auto save on Half Life, maybe something I am overlooking in the options, in the console maybe?
I have replayed it and have just got through the freezer bit and can confirm that it is not auto saving by default. I have to do it the old school way of hitting escape and clicking save, only problem is that I know I will get to a hard bit and will have forgot to save it in a long while.
