Afternoon,

I have just moved into my new house and everything is great, but the waste hose on my machine now does not reach the waste pipe. For some reason this house has the attachment just underneath the sink, when before it was behind the machine. I cannot drill any shortcut holes through the work unit, so need to either replace the hose with a longer one, or extend the current one. Annoying thing is that it is only about 10cm too short.

What is the easiest thing to do? I have looked at hose extensions but they are all far too long. Am I best off just replacing the hose with a brand new one and if so, how easy is it likely to be?

As the moment I can only use the machine whilst it is pulled out and the waste hose it taped to the draining board and goes into the sink.

Cheers.

Funnily enough I already bought that but you cannot cut it to size, as the ends do not come off. The whole thing is one piece and it is far too long. Am going to have to take it back as do not fancy taking my machine apart.

Replacing the hose will be a blag.

The easiest thing to to is get a couple of jubilee clips, spare waste hose and a piece of 1" pipe.

Cut an extra piece piece waste hose as long as you need, attach it to the 1" pipe and jubilee clip it. Ge the hose from the washing machine and attach it to the other end of the 1" pipe and jubilee clip that too.

I think you can buy a kit but we do it that way.

Cheers, I will try that. You reckon this will sort it though with a couple of clips? - http://www.wickes.co.uk/invt/431578

It is just a pain as I am short by a few cm. Missus also vetoed a new machine as it 'still works' (just).
