hello,

our washing machine has died :( RIP Old machine

so we need to buy a new one. Our current machine is one with a hot feed and a cold feed however i notice that most of the new machines are cold feed only.

Would one cold feed into a snew machine do or do they need two cold feeds?

I r confused.

please help.

i know nothing of these strange machines.

Just one cold feed going into ours. It's a 5 year old Miele, dunno model number, I'd imagine other manufacturers would be similar.

Ours was the same. The new one just took the one cold feed. The hot feed was not required and was turned off.

What is wrong with the old one, they really are very simple machines.....depending on what is wrong they are usually super easy to fix and usually very cheap to do so.

Go Bosch or AEG.
If you can afford go Miele.

glad you turned up.

currently my washing machine isn't plugged in per say its connected to one of those switches on the wall which is either on or off no plug

what do i do with this ?

can i wire my new machine in the same?

You'll probably find that on/off switch leads to a socket further down underneath the worktop where the washer plugs into.

If not, then you'll have to cut the plug off your new machine and wire it into the back of the switch.

I'm not the expert on wiring up.
All our washing machines had a 13 amp plug on and the new one should be the same.
