I have a property that I let out and was asked to go over tonight to look at the washing machine that was working.
I put it on and after circa 30 seconds of the pump running the lights started flashing and I could smell a burning smell.
I switched it off and isolated the supply. I was going to phone for a plumber to come and look at it however he may charge a decent amount just to look at it and say its buggered.
So my question is, What could be causing the smell and secondly am I better off in just buying a new one for £200? The washing machine was already there when I bought the property.
