So i installed a game whioch for some reason disabled my monitor due to it being 'out of range'. I've had this before and was easily fixed by simply booting into safe mode. However i upgraded to win 8 and now i have no access to safe mode (neither f8 or shift+f8 work). So what do i do?

Nope none of that is useful for me because i CANT get into windows. All i get after the boot screen is a black screen saying no signal.

And thanks, i missed that when i looked lol, probably the rage of trying to fix my pc for 6hours hehe. ill post there next time

OP, Turn your PC on, then hold the power button down when the boot screen pops up untill you PC goes off, then do it again a second time. The third time, there should be text underneath the Windows boot logo that says "diagnosing" or "repairing", you'll then be given further options which include booting to safe mode.

THANK YOU!!!!!

Finally got my machine back and running
