Hey all,

I know there's definitely some watch lovers on here so I wondered if you could recommend me a watch :)

Short story got burgled while back and have just received a gemcheck card with a value of £500 on it. My birthday is next Friday so going to throw a little bit of money in. So I have £800 to spend but not too sure what to get.

I don't want it to be too fancy with hundreds of dials, but does need to look nice :)

So far out of the ones I've seen, I do like the TAG Heuer Aquaracer's, and a few of the Raymond Weil series.

Any help/recommendations is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

It's a Gemcheck card so only certain shops will take it. Don't think they do second hand Omega's unfortunately.

The Oris ones look nice Rotty.

Bought one today :)

Tried a few on and tried to keep the price reasonable, but in the end went for a Oris Divers Small Second Date. Liked the fit and the design and in the end think it was a good choice for myself.

Yeah it's quite heavy Rotty, but it really did take my fancy and does feel comfortable.

Managed to get the 5 year warranty free, as they wouldn't budge on the price :(

What else do they get it for then?

For £800 id be wanting it to turn into a car, and have a hologram of some Naked women etc.

Well I'm hoping it will last a life time, then I can maybe pass it on if I have kids. Also for me it's a cultural artifact and a work of art, go look at the insides of an automatic watch and see how skillful it is to design and create one by hand.
