Am possibly getting a SS sub or a JLC Master Compressor in April (more likely April 2009 depending on our bonus this year :) ) but obviously want to insure my investment against theft and accidental damage.

Does anyone have an recommended companies that specialise in that type of insurance for watches? I am not sure if my home contents will provide the full cover I am looking for, need to check the policy..

Most home insurance policies have a single item limit on valuables , often around £1500 but you contact them and they add it as a specified item , I have usually been charged in the realms of £10 a year per £1000 value

this will be loads cheaper then a specific policy

what I have done now is insure through Hiscox, they are more expensive but give me a limit of £25,000 ( standard s £15k I think but I upgraded it ) for jewellery and watches with no need to specify items, this is about £150 more than a normal policy
