Watch out Parallels pre-7 owners - 10.8 means paid update to Parallels 7

Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac and Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac will not run on Mac OS X Mountain Lion.

Parallels Desktop 5 for Mac and Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac customers who wish to take advantage of the new Mac OS X Mountain Lion features will need to upgrade to Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac, which can be downloaded here

So basically Parallels are giving people the finger. (can you tell I'm rather peeved)

Probably due to sandboxing I guess?

It's the £13.99 results in an extra £65 cost.. they must have known this due to the knowledge required..

They should have made it a OSX ML update at 13.99 to match it like ML.

Maybe move to fusion and email parallels to explain why your no longer a customer. They might drop the price in time.

EDIT: PS Your missing the £34.99 upgrade fee for existing pre 7 owners.

I happened to upgrade to P7 last month when I bought a bundle from MacPromo but for those looking for alternatives this thread has a lot of good information on how to migrate your VM's to other products/free alternatives.
