watchdog violation

whats the best way to resolve a watchdog violation. Nearly everytime I boot my gaming pc (in sig) it crashes with a sad face and a watchdog violation, after the reboot its fine... but it will repeat the next time I turn it on

I would suggest going through the dump files to see what is causing the BSOD as it could be a driver causing it, but since it doesn't happen all the time it could be something else (or something that will require some further investigation or a full reinstall of the OS).

Might want to check the error code as well, should give you an idea what the cause is. A quick search on Google points it could be a driver for something needing reinstalling.

Watchdog violation is usually CPU related. Are you running any overclocks?

If not could go in a reset bios to default settings and see if that helps.

i'll check the error code when it next happens, CPU is running at stock speed
