Watched 2 Dvds today.. Recommend them both!..

I watched Serenity, Which i enjoyed. Been a long time since ive watched a Space film and i thought it was quite well done, Fight Scenes were cool too!

Then i watched Running Scared, Such a good film!, i didnt expect it because i dont really rate the guy out of Fast and Furious but hes really good in this. Nice twist in plot and some really messed up environments in it. Lots of action and cool gun fights.

I suck at reviewing films but i say...

Serenity - 7/10
Running Scared - 9/10

If you liked serenity get the series its based on "Firefly" excellent series and can be had for about £15 nowadays, well worth a watch very entertaining.

but having seen both of those films got to agree they were quite good, although I'd have put Serentiy ahead of running scared.

Joss Whedon is excellent, I love his style, but after watching Serenity you can see he's a TV director rather than a Movie director from the use of speech and the flow of conversation, it often doesn't seem to go anywhere.

Saying that, I did enjoy Serenity, but I'm bias as Joss is the man!

Firefly is awesome! Shame it only ran for one season but then again I'm happy they didn't kill it ala SG-1.

I also enjoyed Running Scared although the appartment scene was unnecessary and disturbing.

Yeah i thought that was a really messed up scene too. Just seemed a bit out of place. and yeah... pretty disturbing too.
